I released my book on March 8th – National Women’s Day and had the opportunity to serve as a vendor at the Mom’s Conference here in Raleigh, North Carolina on April 13th, 2019. It was such an AAA-mazing experience. The event was well put together, the setup was really nice, the panelist was great, the food was delicious, and the staff was A+. I’m really big on great customer service and I can definitely say that each staff member I came in contact with was very pleasant. A person’s team is a reflection of their business. I must say that they represented well.

I’ll be honest, I was super nervous. It was my first time putting myself out in the public eye as an Author. However, I’m grateful that I did. Becoming an Author as a Single Mom on a Single Income has been a leap of faith and I’m grateful I took another leap of faith on my first vending experience. It was well worth it. Being around other Mothers who are out here trying to balance home, their job, their children, life, and business was very uplifting and empowering.

I even had the opportunity to meet the Celebrity Headlining Panelist; Yandy Smith and Monyetta Shaw. They were also very down to earth, pleasant, and supportive.  Two ladies that was beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. I’ve been a fan of Yandy Smith for an entire LONG time. Having the opportunity to meet her was breath taking. When Yandy asked if I wrote the book and said she wanted to purchase a copy, I almost passed out. I was already a fan, but that really put an impression on my heart. I’m forever grateful for her support.

Great Job Rika B. on your Inaugural Mom’s Conference! It was a pleasure to participate as a vendor.  I see your event growing more and more each year. Keep up the great work, Mama!
